Liz Lieu
Liz Lieu's story is unique, and for those of you who may not have heard about this most impressive young woman born in 1974 and originating from Vietnam, we'll share a little background on this accomplished poker player.
Liz lieu has been playing the game of fame and developing her passion in regular home games with family and friends since childhood. Realizing her talent, she honed her skills as a casino dealer, constantly improving her techniques and ultimately becoming a professional poker player in 2001.
Until last year she only used her skills in cash games and smaller tournaments. Making her competitive tournament debut at 2005's World Series of Poker, she turned heads and astonished onlookers when she took 5th place in the first public event of the series, winning $169,500. Little did they know that Liz is one of the most successful and aggressive players in the Los Angeles and Vegas $400-$800 cash game scenes. Admitting that her first time success got her hooked on tournament play, Liz has spent the latter part of 2005 following the tournament circuit, finishing in the money in 8 more events.
