Kristy Gazes was born and raised in LA and started playing casino poker at 19 years of age. She was caught by the excitement at the poker tables when she used to sneak into Commerce Casino with a fake ID to play Pai Gow with friends.

Kristy is one of the most admired persons on the circuit for her composure and talent. She plays many variants and is nicknamed “mixed games.” She is quite aggressive at the table and at the same time shows a good sense of humor.

Although, she is a hot favorite for a champion title, she says she does not consider playing professional poker for a long time. As a matter of fact, she used to work as editor and post-production coordinator for documentary films and started playing cash games only to support her family. But the poker kick soon caught her as well and today she pretty much enjoys her games and tours.
